Charitable objects
1. THE RESTORATION AND PRESERVATION OF THE TOWER AS A BUILDING OF HISTORIC INTEREST FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE AND THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION OF PUBLIC IN SUCH MANNER AS HEREAFTER APPEARS. 2. THE PRESERVATION OF ALL RECORDS RELATING TO THE HISTORY OF THE TOWER AND THE ENCOURAGEMENT OF HISTORICAL RESEARCH WITH REGARD THERETO AND IN RESPECT OF THE HISTORY OF HOGHTON AND COUNTY PALATINE OF LANCASHIRE. 3. THE FOSTERING OF PUBLIC EDUCATION AND INTEREST IN MATTERS CONNECTED WITH THE PRESERVATION OF THE ENVIRONMENT IN PARTICULAR THE PRESERVATION OF THE FAUNA AND FLORA OF HOGHTON.
