Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: 1. TO PROMOTE IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE, FACILITIES FOR THE EDUCATION AND RECREATION OF CHILDREN/YOUNG PEOPLE, IN PARTICULAR FOR THE BENEFIT OF SUCH CHILDREN WHO MAY HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH AND OR SOCIAL OR ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE. 2. TO PROMOTE, MAINTAIN AND ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE ARTS IN GENERAL, AND MORE PARTICULARLY (BUT NOT LIMITED TO) THE ART OF DANCE AND MOVEMENT BY MEANS OF PROVIDING INSTRUCTION AND PROMOTING THE PRACTICE AND PERFORMANCE OF THE SAID ART. 3. TO ADVANCE AND PROMOTE THE HEALTH AND WELLBEING OF CHILDREN THROUGH PHYSICAL ACTIVITY AND HEALTHY LIFESTYLES. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH [SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005] AND [SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008]
