THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS THE PROMOTION OF SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT AMONG INDIVIDUALS SUFFERING WITH MENTAL ILL HEALTH BY 1) ADVANCING THE EDUCATION OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN ALL AREAS RELATING TO MENTAL HEALTH; 2) RAISING PUBLIC AWARENESS OF THE ISSUES AFFECTING THOSE SUFFERING WITH MENTAL ILLNESS, BOTH GENERALLY AND IN RELATION TO THEIR SOCIAL EXCLUSION 3) PROVIDING ADVOCACY AND GENERAL SUPPORT.
