Activities - how the charity spends its money
Run entirely by volunteers the Museum is open to the public from March to end of October. Entry is free. The museum contains important items of local history including an iconic Hobby Horse and displays on Arthur C. Clarke, Minehead's Lost Pier and Punch & Judy amongst others. The museum runs talks and a charity quiz along with producing booklets on local themes

Charitable objects
1. TO ESTABLISH, MAINTAIN AND ENHANCE A MUSEUM TO PROMOTE THE HISTORY OF MINEHEAD, ALCOMBE AND SURROUNDING AREA FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT. 2. TO INCREASE PUBLIC AWARENESS, APPRECIATION AND UNDERSTANDING OF MINEHEAD'S HISTORIC, CULTURAL AND NATURAL HERITAGE THROUGH THE ACQUISITION, PRESERVATION, INTERPRETATION AND DISPLAY OF A UNIQUE COLLECTION OF ITEMS THAT ARE PARTICULARLY RELEVANT TO THE AREA. 3. TO EXTEND, CONSERVE AND MAINTAIN THE ITEMS IN THE MUSEUM'S COLLECTION; 4. TO ENCOURAGE AND PROMOTE RESEARCH AND EDUCATIONAL USE OF THE MUSEUMS COLLECTION FOR THE BENEFIT OF ALL SECTORS THE PUBLIC.
