Charitable objects
1. THE PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF POVERTY AMONGST, PRIMARILY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, SOMALI PEOPLE LIVING IN LEWISHAM AND NEIGHBOURING BOROUGHS BY PROVIDING ADVICE AND INFORMATION TO HELP THEM ACCESS RESOURCES, SERVICES, EMPLOYMENT, TRAINING AND OTHER FORMS OF SUPPORT. 2. THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS AND PRESERVATION OF HEALTH AND WELLBEING, PRIMARILY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, OF SOMALI YOUNG PEOPLE, FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS LIVING IN LEWISHAM AND NEIGHBOURING BOROUGHS BY PROVIDING ADVICE, INFORMATION PROMOTING HEALTHY LIVING. 3. TO DEVELOP THE CAPACITY AND SKILLS OF MEMBERS OF THE SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED COMMUNITY OF, PRIMARILY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, SOMALI PEOPLE LIVING IN LEWISHAM AND NEIGHBOURING BOROUGHS IN SUCH A WAY THAT THEY ARE BETTER ABLE TO IDENTIFY, AND HELP MEET, THEIR NEEDS AND TO PARTICIPATE MORE FULLY IN SOCIETY. 4. THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE ISLAMIC RELIGION IN LEWISHAM AND NEIGHBOURING BOROUGHS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC THROUGH THE HOLDING OF PRAYER MEETINGS, LECTURES, PUBLIC CELEBRATION OF RELIGIOUS FESTIVALS, AND PRODUCING OR DISTRIBUTING LITERATURE ON THE TEACHINGS OF THE QURAN TO ENLIGHTEN OTHERS ABOUT THE ISLAMIC RELIGION. 5. TO ACT AS A RESOURCE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE LIVING IN LEWISHAM AND NEIGHBOURING BOROUGHS, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY SOMALI YOUNG PEOPLE, BY PROVIDING ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE AND ORGANISING PROGRAMMES OF PHYSICAL, EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER ACTIVITIES AS A MEANS OF: (A) ADVANCING IN LIFE AND HELPING YOUNG PEOPLE BY DEVELOPING THEIR SKILLS, CAPACITIES AND CAPABILITIES TO ENABLE THEM TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCIETY AS INDEPENDENT, MATURE AND RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS. (B) ADVANCING EDUCATION.
