Charitable objects
3.1 TO FURTHER SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSES WHICH MAY BE CHARITABLE ACCORDING TO THE LAW OF ENGLAND AND WALES AND TO PROVIDE SUPPORT TO OTHER REGISTERED CHARITIES AS THE TRUSTEES IN THEIR DISCRETION DETERMINE: 3.2 WITHOUT PREJUDICE TO THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING PROVISION IN CLAUSE 3.1 ABOVE: 3.2.1 TO ADVANCE IN LIFE AND HELP YOUNG PEOPLE UNDER THE AGE OF 28 BY PROVIDING THEM WITH SUPPORT (INCLUDING BUSINESS START-UPS GRANTS) THAT WILL ENABLE THEM TO START AND RUN THEIR OWN BUSINESSES AND SO DEVELOP SKILLS, CAPACITIES AND CAPABILITIES THAT WILL ENABLE THEM TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCIETY AS INDEPENDENT, MATURE AND RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS; 3.2.2 TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE BETWEEN THE AGES OF 16 AND 28 IN SUCH WAYS AS THE CHARITY THINK FIT INCLUDING BY FACILITATING TRAVEL IN FURTHERANCE OF THEIR EDUCATION BY THE PROVIDING OF GRANTS TO INDIVIDUALS ; 3.2.3 THE ADVANCEMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND IMPROVEMENT FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC BY THE PROTECTION, CONSERVATION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE PHYSICAL AND NATURAL ENVIRONMENT IN THE SOUTH WEST OF ENGLAND BY THE PROVIDING OF GRANTS TO INDIVIDUALS AND CHARITABLE ORGANISATIONS; 3.2.4 THE ADVANCEMENT OF HEALTH AND THE SAVING OF LIVES BY THE PRESERVATION AND PROMOTION OF PUBLIC SAFETY IN THE SOUTH WEST OF ENGLAND BY PROVIDING SUPPORT TO EMERGENCY SEARCH AND RESCUE ORGANISATIONS IN THE SOUTH WEST OF ENGLAND BY THE PROVIDING OF GRANTS TO INDIVIDUALS AND CHARITABLE ORGANISATIONS; 3.2.5 THE ADVANCEMENT OF AMATEUR SPORT IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT AND THE PROMOTION OF COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN HEALTH RECREATION BY THE PROMOTION OF MOUNTAINEERING, CLIMBING AND WALKING THROUGHOUT THE WORLD WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO THE SOUTH WEST OF ENGLAND AND THE HIMALAYAS BY THE PROVISION OF GRANTS TO INDIVIDUALS AND CHARITABLE ORGANISATIONS; 3.2.6 THE RELIEF OF FINANCIAL NEED AND SUFFERING AMONG VICTIMS OF NATURAL OR OTHER KINDS OF DISASTER IN THE FORM OF MONEY (OR OTHER MEANS DEEMED SUITABLE) FOR PERSONS, BODIES, ORGANISATIONS AND/OR COUNTRIES AFFECTED, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY THE REGION OF THE HIMALAYAS.
