3. THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: 1. THE RELIEF OF THOSE IN NEED DUE TO BEING IN THE CARE SYSTEM OR HAVING LEFT CARE AND REQUIRING HELP FOR INDEPENDENT LIVING; 2. TO ADVANCE IN LIFE AND RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE CARE SYSTEM AND ADULTS WHO HAVE LEFT CARE; 3. THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION FOR YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE CARE SYSTEM AND ADULTS WHO HAVE LEFT CARE; 4. TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION AMONGST YOUNG PEOPLE IN CARE AND CARE LEAVERS WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED FROM SOCIETY OR PARTS OF SOCIETY AS A RESULT OF BEING WITHIN THE CARE SYSTEM BY: A) PROVIDING EDUCATION AND INFORMATION TO SUPPORT AND ENABLE CARE LEAVERS TO MAXIMISE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES OFFERED TO THEM. B) RAISING PUBLIC AWARENESS OF THE ISSUES EFFECTING CARE LEAVERS AND THOSE IN CARE BOTH GENERALLY AND IN RELATION TO THEIR SOCIAL ISOLATION AND LACK OF SUPPORT NETWORK. C) PROVIDING WORKSHOPS. FORUMS, ADVICE AND GUIDANCE AND GENERAL SUPPORT. D) PROVIDING RECREATIONAL FACILITIES AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE IN CARE AND CARE LEAVERS IN ORDER TO DIMINISH SOCIAL ISOLATION AND BREAK DOWN BARRIERS TO POSITIVE PARTICIPATION WITHIN SOCIETY.
