THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN THE UK AND INDIA: 1) THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION IN INDIAN CULTURE AND HERITAGE, ARTS, CRAFTS, MUSIC AND LANGUAGE. 2) THE PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF POVERTY BY PROVIDING GRANTS, ITEMS AND SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS IN NEED AND/OR CHARITIES, OR OTHER ORGANISATIONS WORKING TO PREVENT OR RELIEVE POVERTY. 3) THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS AND THE PRESERVATION OF HEALTH THROUGH THE PROVISION OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, SUPPORT, EDUCATION AND PRACTICAL ADVICE. 4) TO ADVANCE THE HINDU RELIGION THROUGH THE HOLDING OF PRAYER MEETINGS, LECTURES, PUBLIC CELEBRATION OF RELIGIOUS FESTIVALS, PRODUCING AND/OR DISTRIBUTING LITERATURE ON HINDUISM TO ENLIGHTEN OTHERS ABOUT THE HINDU RELIGION.
