Charitable objects
THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS TO ADVANCE AMATEUR SPORT FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR CHILDREN LIVING THE AREA OF EAST ANGLIA TO PARTICIPATE IN LOCAL CLUB FOOTBALL. FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS CLAUSE,IN THE AREA OF EAST ANGLIA MEANS THE AREA COVERED BY THE COUNTY COUNCILS OF ESSEX, SUFFOLK, LONDON, NORFOLK, CAMBRIDGESHIRE, HERTFORDSHIRE, BEDFORDSHIRE AND BERKS AND BUCKS SUBSEQUENTLY AGREED BY THE TRUSTEES OF THE CIO.
