Charitable objects
THE CHARITY’S OBJECTS (“OBJECTS”) ARE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC: TO PROMOTE COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN HEALTHY RECREATION BY PROVIDING FACILITIES FOR THE PLAYING OF SPORTS CAPABLE OF IMPROVING HEALTH (“FACILITIES” IN THIS CLAUSE 3 MEANS LAND, BUILDINGS, EQUIPMENT AND ORGANISING SPORTING ACTIVITIES); TO PROVIDE AND ASSIST IN PROVIDING FACILITIES FOR SPORT, RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION OF SUCH PERSONS WHO HAVE NEED FOR SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABLEMENT, POVERTY OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES OR FOR THE PUBLIC AT LARGE IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE; TO PROMOTE EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY IN SPORT FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN THE UNITED KINGDOM BY: - WORKING TOWARDS THE ELIMINATION OF DISCRIMINATION ON THE GROUNDS OF RACE; - PROMOTING THE PARTICIPATION AND INTEGRATION OF MEMBERS OF ETHNIC MINORITY MIGRANT AND REFUGEE COMMUNITIES IN SPORT; - ADVANCING EDUCATION AND RAISING AWARENESS IN EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY; - CONDUCTING OR COMMISSIONING RESEARCH ON EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY ISSUES AND PUBLISHING THE RESULTS TO THE PUBLIC; AND - PROMOTING ETHICAL STANDARDS OF CONDUCT AND COMPLIANCE WITH THE LAW IN RELATION TO RACE RELATIONS AND RACIAL EQUALITY
