THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: 1. THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE SIKH RELIGION BY PROMOTING THE SIKH TEACHING AND GURU NANAK’S MISSION OF A HALEEMI RAJ. 2. THE PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF POVERTY OR FINANCIAL HARDSHIP, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY IN SIKH COMMUNITIES IN INDIA, BY PROVIDING OR ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF EDUCATION, TRAINING AND/OR HEALTHCARE PROJECTS AND ALL THE NECESSARY SUPPORT DESIGNED TO ENABLE INDIVIDUALS TO GENERATE A SUSTAINABLE INCOME AND BE SELF-SUFFICIENT; IN PARTICULAR BY PROVIDING AND OR PAYING FOR THE ITEMS SERVICES OR FACILITIES SUCH AS HOUSING, EDUCATION, WIDOW PENSIONS, MEDICAL SUPPLIES, WATER, SANITATION AND CLOTHING. 3.
