Charitable objects
3.1 THE PROMOTION AND EFFECTIVENESS OF CHARITIES AND NOT FOR PROFIT ORGANISATIONS AND EFFECTIVE USE OF CHARITABLE RESOURCES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC BY PROVIDING SUPPORT, ADVICE AND TRAINING TO CHARITIES AND NOT FOR PROFIT ORGANISATIONS THROUGH ASSISTING ORGANISATIONS TO DIRECTLY FURTHER A CHARITABLE PURPOSE. 3.2 TO ADVANCE IN LIFE AND SOLVE THE NEEDS OF YOUNG PEOPLE THROUGH MAKING GRANTS TO ORGANISATIONS THAT DO ANY OR ALL OF THE FOLLOWING: - PROVIDE OF RECREATIONAL AND LEISURE TIME ACTIVITIES PROVIDED IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE, DESIGNED TO IMPROVE YOUNG PEOPLEÆS CONDITIONS OF LIFE; - PROVIDE SUPPORT AND ACTIVITIES, WHICH DEVELOP THEIR SKILLS, CAPACITIES AND CAPABILITIES TO ENABLE THEM TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCIETY AS MATURE AND RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS. PROVIDED THAT IN THE OBJECTS, “CHARITIES” ARE ORGANISATIONS, WHICH ARE ESTABLISHED FOR EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE PURPOSES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAW OF ENGLAND AND WALES. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005OR SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.
