Charitable objects
The objects of the CIO are to further or benefit the inhabitants of North Tyneside and surrounding areas, in particular, those inhabitants in need of relief from financial hardship due to social, environmental and economic circumstances by: A) associating together the said inhabitants, and the statutory authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to improve facilities and service provision in the interests of social welfare, community cohesion and improving conditions and life chances for local residents. B) developing capacity and skills of the said inhabitants in such a way that they are better able to identify, and help meet, their needs and to participate more fully in society C) protecting and preserving the environment for public benefit through the promotion of waste reduction, repair, re-use reclamation, recycling and reuse of recycled products and to relieve financial hardship through the recycling and provision of furniture, clothes and other household items.
