THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: (A) CHRISTIAN WORSHIP, THE PREACHING AND PROCLAMATION OF THE CHRISTIAN GOSPEL AND THE TEACHING OF CHRISTIAN DOCTRINE AND PRINCIPLES, ALL IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE BASIS OF FAITH SET FORTH IN APPENDIX A; (B) THE RELIEF OF PERSONS WHO ARE IN CONDITIONS OF NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS BY MEANS OF CHRISTIAN COUNSELLING, PASTORAL CARE, ADVICE AND MATERIAL OR FINANCIAL AID IF NECESSARY; AND (C) THE RELIEF OF THE SICK, INFIRM OR POOR BY ANY MEANS INCLUDING PASTORAL VISITING, TRANSPORT AND/OR PRAYER.
