Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: 3.1 TO ADVANCE IN LIFE, RELIEVE NEEDS OF AND HELP YOUNG PEOPLE UP TO THE AGE OF 25 THROUGH: A) THE PROVISION OF RECREATIONAL AND LEISURE TIME ACTIVITIES PROVIDED IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE, DESIGNED TO IMPROVE THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE; B) THE ADVANCEMENT OF BOTH THE QUALITY AND ACCESSIBILITY OF EDUCATION TO ENABLE GREATER SOCIAL MOBILITY; C) THE RELIEF OF UNEMPLOYMENT THROUGH PROMOTING UNDERSTANDING OF EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES AND ASSOCIATED SUPPORT THEREIN; AND D) THE PROVISION OF HEALTHCARE TO RELIEVE SICKNESS AND STRESS PLACED ON THE YOUNG PEOPLE. 3.2 TO ACT AS A RESOURCE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE UP TO THE AGE OF 25 LIVING IN THE FAVELAS OF RIO DE JANEIRO (OR OTHER AREAS WHERE, AS APPROPRIATE, ANY PARTNER ORGANISATION IS BASED) BY PROVIDING ADVICE, ASSISTANCE AND ORGANISING STRUCTURED PROGRAMMES. 3.3 NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008?
