FOOTBALL FOR KAMPUCHEA WAS FOUNDED IN 2016 AFTER A NUMBER OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE IN POVERTY SAW THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN FOOTBALL FROM TWO QUALIFIED ENGLISH COACHES IN PHNOM PENH, CAMBODIA. THE ORGANISATION EXISTS TO ADDRESS THE NEEDS OF YOUNG PEOPLE UP TO BUT NOT RESTRICTED TO THE AGE OF 18 IN PHNOM PENH, CAMBODIA, SPECIFICALLY WORKING WITH YOUNG PEOPLE IN POVERTY. FOOTBALL FOR KAMPUCHEA SEEKS TO DO THIS BY: 1. THE PROVISION OF RECREATIONAL AND LEISURE TIME ACTIVITIES PROVIDED IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE, DESIGNED TO IMPROVE THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE; 2. TO ACT AS A RESOURCE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE UP TO THE AGE OF 18 LIVING IN THE KINGDOM OF CAMBODIA. 3. BY ORGANISING PROGRAMMES OF PHYSICAL, EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER ACTIVITIES AS A MEANS OF HELPING YOUNG PEOPLE. THE ULTIMATE AIM OF THE ORGANISATION IS TO REDUCE THE NUMBER OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE REGION FALLING INTO DEEPER POVERTY WITH NO OUTLET, AND TO TEACH YOUNG PEOPLE TO BECOME STRONG COMMUNITY ROLE MODELS FOR OTHER VULNERABLE YOUNG PEOPLE.
