1) THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS AND PRESERVATION AND PROTECTION OF GOOD HEALTH BY: A) PROMOTING ACCESS TO CLEAN WATER SUPPLY THROUGH SIMPLE SUSTAINABLE TECHNOLOGIES INCLUDING THE USE OF SAND FILTERS FOR THE PURIFICATION OF RIVER WATER: B) SPREADING AWARENESS OF AND INCREASING CONFIDENCE IN THE SIMPLE SAND FILTER AS A WAY OF PROVIDING CHEAP ACCESS TO CLEAN DRINKING WATER 2) THE RELIEF OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP IN TARGET RURAL COMMUNITIES BY SUPPORTING ACCESS TO SERVICES, EDUCATION AND RESOURCES WHICH MEMBERS OF THOSE COMMUNITIES MIGHT NOT OTHERWISE BE ABLE TO AFFORD.
