THE COKER ROPE & SAIL CIO

Charity overview
Activities - how the charity spends its money
The charity exists to conserve, restore and manage the Dawe's Twineworks heritage factory in West Coker, Somerset, and to record and celebrate the twine, rope and sailcloth industries which flourished in the area because the local soils were excellent for growing flax and hemp. The old buildings and machinery restoration is almost complete. We are building a visitor centre.
