Charitable objects

FOR THESE PURPOSES THE VOLUNTARY SECTOR MEANS ANY CHARITY WHICH IS REGISTERED ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD UNDERTAKING ACTIVITIES WHICH WOULD BE CHARITABLE UNDER THE LAWS OF ENGLAND AND WALES AND INDEPENDENT VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS WHICH ARE ESTABLISHED FOR PURPOSES WHICH ADD VALUE TO THE COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE OR TO A SIGNIFICANT PROPORTION OF THE COMMUNITY IN THE AREA IN WHICH THEY OPERATE WHICH ARE NOT PERMITTED BY THEIR CONSTITUTIONS FROM MAKING A PROFIT. 4.1.11 THE PROMOTION OF THE EFFICIENCY AND EFFECTIVENESS OF CHARITIES REGISTERED ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD WHICH UNDERTAKE ACTIVITIES WHICH ARE CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAWS OF ENGLAND AND WALES AND THE EFFECTIVE USE OF CHARITABLE RESOURCES. 4.1.12 TO DEVELOP THE CAPACITY AND SKILLS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED COMMUNITIES OF THE WORLD IN SUCH A WAY THAT THEY ARE BETTER ABLE TO IDENTIFY, AND HELP MEET, THEIR NEEDS AND TO PARTICIPATE MORE FULLY IN SOCIETY. 4.1.13 THE PROMOTION OF SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY PREVENTING PEOPLE FROM BECOMING SOCIALLY EXCLUDED, RELIEVING THE NEEDS OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED AND ASSISTING THEM TO INTEGRATE INTO SOCIETY. FOR THE PURPOSE OF THIS CLAUSE ‘SOCIALLY EXCLUDED’ MEANS BEING EXCLUDED FROM SOCIETY, OR PART OF SOCIETY, AS A RESULT OF BEING A MEMBER OF A SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY DEPRIVED COMMUNITY. 4.1.14 FOR ANY OTHER PURPOSE WHICH IS CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAWS OF ENGLAND AND WALES AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE.
