THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC (PARTICULARLY YOUNG PEOPLE) IN THE PLAYING OF BRASS INSTRUMENTS, LEADING TO PARTICIPATION IN RECOGNISED EXAMINATIONS, BY THE PROVISION OF TRAINING AND PUBLIC PERFORMANCES IN A RANGE OF WORKS. TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION AND APPRECIATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE ART AND SCIENCE OF BRASS BAND MUSIC BY THE PRESENTATION OF CONCERTS, MUSICAL FESTIVALS AND SIMILAR ACTIVITIES. TO SUPPORT OTHER CHARITIES AND ANY OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSES AS THE TRUSTEES DECIDE. TO PRESERVE, RESTORE AND MAINTAIN FOR THE BENEFIT OF PEOPLE OF THE ISLE OF WIGHT HISTORICAL BUILDINGS AND PROVIDE FACILITIES FOR LOCAL PEOPLE AND ORGANISATIONS TO FUNCTION.
