Activities - how the charity spends its money
Medway Open Award Centre, is a Charitable Interest Organisation set up as a Directly Licenced Centre in which young people can readily access cost effective, knowledge, advice and assistance to facilitate, their achievement of a Duke of Edinburgh's Award at any level. The centre will be staffed by volunteers who believe in the ethos of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award.

Charitable objects
TO HELP YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE MEDWAY TOWNS BY PROVIDING FACILITIES AND STAFF TO OFFER SUCH YOUNG PEOPLE ACCESS TO TRAINING COURSES, SPECIALIST EXPEDITION TRAINING AND EXPEDITIONS WHICH WILL ENABLE THEM TO FURTHER THEIR EDUCATION AND BE ACCREDITED TOWARDS SUCH SCHEMES AS THE DUKE OF EDINBURGH’S AWARD PROGRAMME, SO AS TO DEVELOP THEIR CAPABILITIES THAT THEY MAY GROW TO FULL MATURITY AS INDIVIDUALS AND MEMBERS OF SOCIETY.
