Charitable objects
1) THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN PENARTH AND THE SURROUNDING AREA THROUGH THE OPERATION OF A PUBLIC TRAINING AND COMMUNITY EDUCATION RESOURCE CENTRE. 2) THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT INTO THE HISTORY AND HERITAGE OF PENARTH AND THE SURROUNDING AREA. 3) THE PRESERVATION AND PROTECTION OF GOOD HEALTH IN PENARTH AND THE SURROUNDING AREA BY THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN SKILLS, TECHNIQUES AND APPROACHES TO MAINTAINING NATURAL HEALTH THROUGH DIET AND EXERCISE. 4) THE PROMOTION OF COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN HEALTHY RECREATION IN PENARTH AND THE SURROUNDING AREA BY THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES AND OPPORTUNITIES TO ENABLE INDIVIDUALS TO TAKE PART IN SPORTS THAT ARE CAPABLE OF IMPROVING PHYSICAL HEALTH AND FITNESS. 5) THE PROMOTION OF THE VOLUNTARY SECTOR IN PENARTH AND THE SURROUNDING AREA IN PARTICULAR BY ENCOURAGING AND FACILITATING VOLUNTEERING IN THE COMMUNITY AND MAINTAINING AND OPERATING A VOLUNTEER DATABASE. FOR THE PURPOSE OF THIS CLAUSE, "THE VOLUNTARY SECTOR" MEANS CHARITIES AND VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS DEFINED AS FOLLOWS: "CHARITIES" ARE ORGANISATIONS, WHICH ARE ESTABLISHED FOR EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE PURPOSES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAW OF ENGLAND AND WALES. "VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS" ARE INDEPENDENT ORGANISATIONS, WHICH ARE ESTABLISHED FOR PURPOSES THAT ADD VALUE TO THE COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE, OR A SIGNIFICANT SECTION OF THE COMMUNITY, AND WHICH ARE NOT PERMITTED BY THEIR CONSTITUTION TO MAKE A PROFIT FOR PRIVATE DISTRIBUTION. VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS DO NOT INCLUDE LOCAL GOVERNMENT OR OTHER STATUTORY AUTHORITIES.
