The aims of the Diabetic Pregnancy Study Group (DPSG) are to improve the detection and management of diabetes in pregnant women and their offspring through education, teaching and research. Obesity before and during pregnancy has recently been added to the DPSG portfolio. The DPSG is affiliated to the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD).

Charitable objects
2.1 THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY ARE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT: 2.1.1 TO PROMOTE THE EDUCATION OF THOSE INVOLVED IN THE TREATMENT OF DIABETES IN PREGNANCY INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO (A) IMPROVING THE DETECTION AND MANAGEMENT OF DIABETES AND METABOLIC DISORDERS IN PREGNANT WOMEN AND THEIR OFFSPRING; AND (B) MATERNAL OBESITY BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER PREGNANCY.
