Charitable objects
A. THE OBJECTS OF THE ASSOCIATION ARE TO: I. PROMOTE THE BENEFIT AND PROTECT THE INTERESTS OF THE INHABITANTS OF LEVERSTOCK GREEN AND THE NEIGHBOURHOOD TOGETHER DEFINED AS IN SUB-PARAGRAPH (C) BELOW (HEREINAFTER ALSO CALLED "THE AREA OF BENEFIT") WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, RACE OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS, BY ASSOCIATING TOGETHER THE SAID INHABITANTS AND THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE SAID INHABITANTS; II. ESTABLISH, OR SECURE THE ESTABLISHMENT OF, A COMMUNITY CENTRE (HEREINAFTER CALLED "THE VILLAGE HALL") AND TO MAINTAIN AND MANAGE THE SAME (WHETHER ALONE OR IN CO-OPERATION WITH ANY LOCAL AUTHORITY OR OTHER PERSON OR BODY) IN FURTHERANCE OF THESE OBJECTS; III. PROMOTE SUCH OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSES AS MAY FROM TIME TO TIME BE DETERMINED. B. THE ASSOCIATION SHALL BE NON-PARTY IN POLITICS AND NON-SECTARIAN IN RELIGION. C. "LEVERSTOCK GREEN" SHALL BE DEFINED AS THE ECCLESIASTICAL PARISH OF LEVERSTOCK GREEN AS IT EXISTED AT THE FORMATION OF THE ASSOCIATION ON 25 APRIL 1974, THERE BEING NO CIVIL PARISH EXISTING AT THAT TIME OR SUBSEQUENTLY. THE ECCLESIASTICAL PARISH OF LEVERSTOCK GREEN HAS SUBSEQUENTLY BEEN SUBSUMED INTO THE BENEFICE OF LANGELEI WITH BORDERS AS SHOWN ON THE MAP ANNEXED HERETO.
