Charitable objects
The object of the CIO is to advance education of the public in general on the subject of Pakistani culture, Arts and history. This education and awareness will aim to benefit both the Pakistani origin UK citizens and the general public by creating a better understanding between them. It will also aim to serve as a public benefit by creating a ?dialogue? of arts and education between the traditionally friendly countries of UK and Pakistan. To achieve these public benefit goals, the CIO will seek to: (1) Create opportunities to showcase the arts of Pakistan in the UK and the arts of the UK in Pakistan; (2) Connect the people of Pakistan and the UK through: (a) student contacts and exchanges in schools and universities; (b) artist exchanges and residencies; and (c) conferences, exhibitions and public speaking events; (3) Advance collaborations between charities and non-government organisations in Pakistan and the UK to (a) benefit the education of children in Pakistan; (b) advance learning and collaboration between Pakistan and the UK in respect of matters relating to environmental protection; (c) advance learning and collaboration between Pakistan and the UK in the conservation of natural, environmental and architectural heritage; and (d) advance opportunities for learning and collaboration between the UK and Pakistan for museum spaces and national art galleries (4) To create opportunities between the UK and Pakistan for tourism development and exchanges; and (5) To raise funds for the above matters. Nothing in this constitution shall authorise an application of the property of the CIO for the purposes which are not charitable in accordance with section 7 of the Charities and Trustee Investment(Scotland) Act 2005 and section 2 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008
