Activities - how the charity spends its money
We have been providing the following services to Muslims and their neighbours in the Runnymede area. Imams to lead Jumuah and ?Eid prayers. Hot meals for iftar during Ramadan, for students and families. Speakers on Islam to schools, workplaces and university. Mosque tours for all age groups & special interest needs Open Days to the general public. We aim to build a Masjid/Community Centre.

Charitable expenditure
Some charities generate all, or a substantial part, of their income from investments which may have been donated to the charity as endowment or set aside by the charity from its own resources in the past. Such investments usually take the form of stocks and shares but may include other assets, such as property, that are capable of generating income and/or capital growth.
In managing their spending and investments charities need to strike a balance between the needs of future and current beneficiaries. They also need to take account of spending commitments that may stretch over a number of future years. To do this, charities will normally adopt an investment strategy designed to generate both income and capital growth. To maximise returns trustees may commit to investment strategies for several years.
Investments can experience large swings in value so trustees may, in a particular year, decide to realise and spend part of their charity’s capital or to invest part of its income.

Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE, FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT: (1) THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE RELIGION OF ISLAM, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY THROUGH THE HOLDING OF PRAYER MEETINGS, LECTURES, PUBLIC CELEBRATION OF RELIGIOUS FESTIVALS PRODUCING, THE PROVISION OF A PLACE OF WORSHIP AND/OR DISTRIBUTING LITERATURE ON ISLAM TO ENLIGHTEN OTHERS ABOUT THE ISLAMIC RELIGION; (2) THE ADVANCEMENT OF ISLAMIC EDUCATION; (3) THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS AND POVERTY AMONGST THOSE IN NEED; AND (4) TO PROVIDE OR ASSIST IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION FOR THE PUBLIC AT LARGE WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE.
