FOR THE PURPOSE (IF AND SO FAR AS THE SAME SHALL BE CHARITABLE) OF PROMOTING TH EMATERIAL MENTAL AND SPIRITUAL WELFARE OF PERSONS OVER THE AGE OF 60 WIHTIN THE AREA OF THE TOWN OF WOOLER AND THE SURROUNDING AREA WITHIN A 3 MILE RADIUS OF THE MARKET PLACE IN THE SAID TOWN AND IN PARTICULAR (BUT WITHOUT IN ANY WAY LIMITING THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING) BY MAKING GRANTS OF MONEY FOOD OR OTHERWISE TO OR FOR THE BENEFIT OF SUCH PERSONS.
