Charitable objects
THE CHARITY'S OBJECTS ARE SPECIFICALLY RESTRICTED TO THE ADVANCEMENT OF HEALTH, RELIEF OF POVERTY AND TO PROMOTE IMPROVEMENT OF OR THE SAVING OF LIVES OF PERSONS LIVING IN ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGE COMMUNITIES IN AFRICA AND ASIA WHO ARE SUFFERING FROM THE LACK OF ACCESS TO CLEAN WATER BY REASON OF GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION, POVERTY, BEING VICTIMS OF WAR, NATURAL DISASTER OR CATASTROPHE BY ALL OR ANY OF THE FOLLOWING MEANS: 1) RAISING AWARENESS OF THE WATER CRISIS AND SHOWING WHAT CAN BE ACHIEVED BY RAISING FUNDS; 2) MAKING GRANTS TO ORGANISATIONS THAT ARE DIRECTLY INVOLVED WITH WATER PROJECTS IN AFRICA AND ASIA IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY FOR MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT FOR SUCH WATER PROJECTS; 3) SUPPLYING EQUIPMENT NEEDED TO PROVIDE ACCESS TO SAFE AND CLEAN DRINKING WATER; 4) PROVIDING FUNDS AND OTHER SUPPORT TO PUBLIC HEALTH PROGRAMMES; AND 5) SUCH OTHER MEANS AS MAY FROM TIME TO TIME BE DETERMINED AND ARE CHARITABLE ACCORDING TO THE LAW OF ENGLAND AND WALES. FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS ARTICLE 'WATER CRISIS' MEANS CIRCUMSTANCES WHERE PEOPLE DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO SAFE WATER, SANITATION OR HYGIENE RESULTING IN THE RUINING OF LIVES AND THE HOLDING BACK OF DEVELOPMENT IN COUNTRIES OR REGIONS OF AFRICA AND ASIA.
