THE OBJECT[S] OF THE CIO [IS][ARE] THE OBJECTS OF THE TRUST ARE TO BENEFIT THE PUBLIC BY: 1. TO ADVANCE THE STUDY, UNDERSTANDING AND ENJOYMENT OF THE ARCHAEOLOGY AND HISTORY ON AND AROUND THE ISLE OF WIGHT, INCLUDING EDUCATION OF THE TERRESTRIAL AND MARINE ENVIRONMENTS; AND 2. TO ADVANCE THE CONSERVATION OF ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITES, MONUMENTS AND MATERIAL IN BOTH THE TERRESTRIAL AND MARINE ENVIRONMENTS OF THE ISLE OF WIGHT. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH [SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005] AND [SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008]
