Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: (1) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF DOCTORS, NURSES, MIDWIVES, PARAMEDICS AND OTHER MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS IN THE FIELD OF MEDICINE, INCLUDING BY THE PROVISION OF FORMAL TRAINING AND BY PROVIDING PLACEMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR INDIVIDUALS TO CONTINUE THEIR LEARNING, DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION THROUGH PRACTICE AND THE EXCHANGE OF SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE; (2) THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS AND THE PRESERVATION OF HEALTH AMONG COMMUNITIES THROUGHOUT AFRICA, THROUGH THE OPERATION AND CONDUCT OF OUTREACH SERVICES AND MOBILE HEALTH CLINICS WHICH PROVIDE MEDICAL, SURGICAL AND OBSTETRIC CARE; AND (3) TO ASSIST IN THE PROMOTION OF HUMANE TREATMENT TOWARDS ANIMALS AND THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE CONSERVATION OF SPECIES OF WILDLIFE WHICH ARE IN DANGER OF EXTINCTION, IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, BY THE PROVISION OF MEDICAL AID AND TRAINING IN SPECIALIST REMOTE MEDICINE AND SURVIVAL SKILLS TO ANTI-POACHING RANGERS AND THE PROMOTION OF GOODWILL TOWARDS ANTI-POACHING ORGANISATIONS.
