Charitable objects
TO ADVANCE EDUCATION OF PRESCHOOL CHILDREN IN MALAWI FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY THE PROVISION OF EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES SUCH AS BOOKS, TOYS, STATIONERY, VISUAL AIDS AND ANY OTHER EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS (IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT LIMITED THEREBY) TO THE PROVIDERS OF THE KOTHAWIRA/UTIZIRO PROGRAMME TO ENHANCE THE COGNITIVE, ACADEMIC AND SOCIAL OUTCOMES OF CHILDREN OF MARGINALISED AND LOW INCOME FAMILIES AND THOSE CHILDREN AT RISK. THE KOTHAWIRA/UTIZIRO PROGRAM RECOGNIZES THE POWER OF THE PARENT AS PRIMARY EDUCATOR, A CHILD’S FIRST AND BEST TEACHER. THROUGH ITS HOME VISITORS, THE PROGRAM WORKS COLLABORATIVELY WITH PARENTS TO DEVELOP HOME INSTRUCTION THAT WILL IMPROVE THEIR CHILDREN’S LINGUISTIC, SOCIAL AND COGNITIVE SKILLS. THE PROGRAM ALLOWS PARENTS AND HOME VISITORS TO BUILD A FRAMEWORK THAT ENABLES THE CHILDREN TO FLOURISH. THE STRATEGY IS SIMPLE: IT WORKS BY HELPING PARENTS HELP THEIR CHILDREN TO SUCCEED EARLY IN LIFE.
