"THE OBJECT OF THE FRIENDS SHALL BE TO RELIEVE THE MENTALLY HANDICAPPED ATTENDING THE SCARBOROUGH ADULT TRAINING CENTRE AND HOSTEL BY PROVIDING AND ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF AMENITIES, FACILITIES AND SERVICES NOT NORMALLY PROVIDED BY THE LOCAL AUTHORITY AND BY WAY OF PROMOTING AND ASSISTING IN THE WORK OF THE CENTRE AND HOSTEL IN ANY CHARITABLE WAY.
