Activities - how the charity spends its money
Red Lion House Charity has a 35 year lease on an old public house in Horninglow, a suburb of Burton upon Trent. The pub has now been converted into a multipurpose community centre for the local population. The centre opened in February 2020, and is being used by a wide variety of community groups and families. Development of the upstairs will start as soon as funds are sufficient.

Charitable objects
THE CHARITY'S OBJECTS ARE: TO FURTHER OR BENEFIT THE RESIDENTS OF HORNINGLOW (A SUBURB OF BURTON UPON TRENT IN EAST STAFFORDSHIRE), AND THE NEIGHBOURHOOD AND THE SURROUNDING AREA, WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, RACE OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS BY ASSOCIATING TOGETHER THE SAID RESIDENTS AND THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY, CHARITABLE AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO: A)ADVANCE EDUCATION; B)PROVIDE AND MAINTAIN FACILITIES FOR THE USE OF: 1)MEETINGS, LECTURES AND CLASSES, AND 2)OTHER FORMS OF RECREATION AND LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION; C)IN THE INTERESTS OF: 1)SOCIAL WELFARE; 2)SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION; 3)LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION; 4)INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABLEMENT, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES; OR 5)THE PUBLIC AT LARGE; AND WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITION OF LIFE OF THE SAID INHABITANTS.
