THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: 1. THE ADVANCEMENT OF SCIENCE AND SPREAD OF SCIENTIFIC KNOWLEDGE FOR PUBLIC BENEFIT PARTICULARLY IN THE FIELD OF WOODY PLANTS AND RELATED BOTANY. 2. THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION PARTICULARLY IN THE FIELD OF BOTANY AND BOTANICAL RESEARCH BY ANY CHARITABLE MEANS, INCLUDING BY THE PUBLICATION AND DISSEMINATION OF THE USEFUL RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH AND BY THE PROVISION OF SCHOLARSHIPS, GRANTS OR BURSARIES FOR THE STUDY OF BOTANY AND BY THE PROMOTION OF STUDY THROUGH VISITS TO FORESTS, WOODS, GARDENS AND PLANTATIONS IN ALL PARTS OF THE WORLD FOR BOTANICAL STUDY AND DEBATE. 3.
