TO MAINTAIN, PRESERVE, RESTORE AND DISPLAY THE LANCASTER BOMBER "CITY OF LINCOLN" AS AN HISTORICAL OBJECT FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC AND AS A MEMORIAL TO BOMBER COMMAND PERSONNEL IN THE AREA DURING THE 1939-1945 WAR AND TO ACQUIRE OR CO-OPERATE IN ACQUIRING AS THE ASSOCIATION SHALL FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE OTHER AEROPLANES AND OBJECTS OF HISTORICAL AND PUBLIC INTEREST WHICH MAY BE OR HAVE IN THE PAST BEEN ASSOCIATED WITH THE LANCASTER OR THE ROYAL AIR FORCE.
