Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE:- (A) TO PROMOTE, MAINTAIN AND ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE ARTS GENERALLY, PRIMARILY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY AMONG THE INHABITANTS OF LONGRIDGE AND THE SURROUNDING AREA OF LANCASHIRE, BY THE PROVISION OF ARTS BASED ACTIVITIES AND COURSES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO PAINTING, SCULPTING, PHOTOGRAPHY, PRINTMAKING, DRAMA, DANCE, MUSIC, LITERATURE AND MEDIA). B) IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE TO PROVIDE OR ASSIST IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION AND OTHER LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF PERSONS WHO HAVE NEED BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY, ILLNESS, PHYSICAL OR MENTAL DISABILITY, POVERTY OR SOCIAL OR ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES.
