THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT AND ARE CARRIED OUT IN PETERBOROUGH AND THE SURROUNDING AREA: 1) THE PREVENTION AND/OR RELIEF OF POVERTY BY PROVIDING DONATIONS OF FOOD FOR LOCAL FOOD BANKS, NOT FOR PROFIT COMMUNITY FOOD PROJECTS AND CHARITIES. 2) THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION BY PROVIDING WORKSHOPS RELATING TO HEALTHY EATING AND NUTRITION, COOKING ON A BUDGET AND HEALTH AND SAFETY PROCEDURES IN THE HANDLING AND PREPARATION OF FOOD. 3) TO ADVANCE THE PROTECTION AND PRESERVATION OF THE ENVIRONMENT BY THE PROMOTION OF WASTE REDUCTION, RECYCLING, THE USE OF RECYCLED AND SURPLUS PRODUCTS AND THE ELIMINATION OF FOOD WASTE THROUGH COOKERY CLASSES AND PUBLIC NOTICES.
