THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT TO PROMOTE HUMANE BEHAVIOUR TOWARDS ANIMALS AND TO RELIEVE THE SUFFERING OF ANIMALS IN NEED OF CARE AND ATTENTION, IN PARTICULAR BY PROVIDING AND MAINTAINING A RESCUE HOME AND OTHER FACILITIES FOR THE RECEPTION, CARE, TREATMENT, PROTECTION AND SECURITY OF SUCH ANIMALS WHICH ARE IN NEED BY REASON OF SICKNESS, MALTREATMENT, POOR CIRCUMSTANCES OR ILL USAGE AND TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC IN MATTERS PERTAINING TO ANIMAL WELFARE IN GENERAL AND THE PREVENTION OF CRUELTY AND SUFFERING AMONG ANIMALS.
