Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TO PROTECT AND PROMOTE THE PHYSICAL HEALTH AND MENTAL WELL-BEING OF THE INHABITANTS OF SHEFFIELD AND SURROUNDING DISTRICTS WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, DISABILITY, AGE, RACE, NATIONALITY, OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS, THROUGH THE PROVISION OF: (A) RECREATIONAL AND LEISURE TIME ACTIVITIES PROVIDED IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE, DESIGNED TO IMPROVE THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE; (B) SUPPORT AND ACTIVITIES WHICH DEVELOP THEIR SKILLS, CAPACITIES AND CAPABILITIES TO ENABLE THEM TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCIETY AS MATURE AND RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS. (C) ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE THROUGH ORGANISING PROGRAMMES OF PHYSICAL, EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER ACTIVITIES AS A MEANS OF ADVANCING EDUCATION AND RELIEVING UNEMPLOYMENT; AND TO PROMOTE, FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC, GOOD CITIZENSHIP AND GREATER PUBLIC PARTICIPATION IN THE PREVENTION AND SOLUTION OF CRIME IN THE AREA.
