Activities - how the charity spends its money

The charity improves the conditions of life for the residents of Smethwick by advancing education and providing facilities for recreation and leisure time occupation. When it is permitted for more than six to gather in the main hall or the rear "schoolroom" these spaces can be hired for weekly sessions. Better Together launched an activity called Conversation Cafe in 2021.

THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE AS FOLLOWS:- TO FURTHER OR BENEFIT THE RESIDENTS OF SMETHWICK AND THE NEIGHBOURHOOD, WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, RACE OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS BY ASSOCIATING TOGETHER THE SAID RESIDENTS AND THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION, BY THE OPERATION AND MANAGEMENT OF A COMMUNITY CENTRE WITH THE OBJECTIVE OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE RESIDENTS.
