THE OBJECTS (THE ÆOBJECTSÆ) FOR WHICH THE CIO IS ESTABLISHED ARE: A)TO ADVANCE EDUCATION IN THE SUBJECT MATTERS OF MARITIME AND SEAFARING HISTORY,NATURAL SCIENCES IN THE MARINE ENVIRONMENT AND THE ARTS IN KINGSTON UPON HULL IN PARTICULAR AND THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE THROUGH THE WORK, COLLECTIONS,ACTIVITIES AND PROGRAMMES OF HULL'S MARITIME MUSEUM, THE NORTH END SHIPYARD, THE ARCTIC CORSAIR AND SPURN LIGHTSHIP. B)TO ADVANCE AND PROMOTE THE CITYÆS MARITIME HISTORY, HERITAGE AND CULTURE THROUGH SUPPORTING HULLÆS MARITIME MUSEUM, THE NORTH END SHIPYARD, THE ARCTIC CORSAIR AND SPURN LIGHTSHIP AND THE ÔHULL: YORKSHIREÆS MARITIME CITYÖ PROJECT. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.
