THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: 1) THE PROVISION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE OLD CHAPEL IN GOTHERINGTON AS A COMMUNITY FACILITY FOR THE BENEFIT AND USE OF THE INHABITANTS OF GOTHERINGTON, WOOLSTONE AND OXENTON AND THE SURROUNDING AREA WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS, INCLUDING USE FOR: (A) MEETINGS, LECTURES AND CLASSES, AND (B) OTHER FORMS OF RECREATION AND LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE, WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE INHABITANTS. 2) TO ADVANCE SUCH PURPOSES AS ARE CHARITABLE WITHIN THE LAWS OF ENGLAND AND WALES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE RESIDENTS OF GOTHERINGTON, WOOLSTONE AND OXENTON AND THE SURROUNDING AREA BY THE MAKING OF GRANTS TO CHARITIES AND VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS.
