Harrogate International Partnerships has been established to help rekindle and revitalise the existing town twinning links for Harrogate, and be open to the possibility of establishing new links. We exist to advance the education, for the public benefit, of the people of the Harrogate district in the history, culture and languages of countries outside the United Kingdom.

OBJECTS 2.1 THE OBJECTS OF THE COMPANY ARE SPECIFICALLY RESTRICTED TO THE FOLLOWING WHOLLY CHARITABLE PURPOSES ONLY: (A) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION, FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE BOROUGH OF HARROGATE AND ITS SURROUNDING AREA (‘THE BENEFICIARIES’) IN THE HISTORY, CULTURE AND LANGUAGES OF COUNTRIES OUTSIDE THE UNITED KINGDOM BY: (I) ORGANISING AND FOSTERING EDUCATIONAL PARTNERSHIPS, ASSOCIATIONS, LINKS AND COLLABORATIONS AMONG AND BETWEEN (I) THE BENEFICIARIES AND (I) THE INHABITANTS OF COUNTRIES OUTSIDE THE UNITED KINGDOM, IN EACH CASE INCLUDING (WITHOUT LIMITATION) ANY STATUTORY AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS OR PROFESSIONAL BODIES, AND ANY SCHOOLS, COLLEGES OR OTHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS, WHICH REPRESENT, COMPRISE, INVOLVE, SERVE OR EDUCATE ANY SUCH PERSONS OR GROUPS THEREOF, WITH A VIEW TO PROVIDING (OR ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF) EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMES, PROJECTS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES FOR THE BENEFICIARIES; (II) PROVIDING (OR ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF) GRANTS, SCHOLARSHIPS, BURSARIES, AWARDS OR OTHER FORMS OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR BENEFICIARIES TO STUDY IN COUNTRIES OUTSIDE THE UNITED KINGDOM, IN PARTICULAR (BUT WITHOUT LIMITATION) IN THE SUBJECT OF FOREIGN OR INTERNATIONAL HISTORY, CULTURE OR LANGUAGES; (III) SUCH OTHER MEANS AS THE TRUSTEES MAY THINK FIT FROM TIME TO TIME.
