(A) TO PROMOTE AND PROTECT THE PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLBEING OF PERSONS WORKING FOR THE EMERGENCY AND ESSENTIAL SERVICES AND THEIR FAMILIES THROUGHOUT THE UNITED KINGDOM BY THE PROVISION OF INFORMATION, ADVICE, ADVOCACY, COUNSELLING AND GUIDANCE SO THAT THEY ARE BETTER ABLE TO MANAGE THE STRESS THEY ENCOUNTER. (B) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC RELATING TO THE WORK OF THE EMERGENCY AND ESSENTIAL SERVICES THROUGHOUT THE UNITED KINGDOM. (C) THE RELIEF OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AMONG PERSONS WORKING FOR THE EMERGENCY AND ESSENTIAL SERVICES AND THEIR FAMILIES BY PROVIDING: GRANTS, ITEMS AND SERVICES CONSIDERED NECESSARY TO MEET AND RELIEVE THEIR NEED. FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS CLAUSE "EMERGENCY AND ESSENTIAL SERVICES" ARE DEFINED AS SERVICES WHICH ENSURE PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, MEMBERS OF THE AMBULANCE, POLICE AND FIRE SERVICES, FRONTLINE NHS STAFF, LIFEBOAT, MOUNTAIN RESCUE AND AIR AMBULANCE PERSONNEL.
