Activities - how the charity spends its money
The Open Award Centre delivers all levels of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award in Gillingham North Dorset, under the DofE operating licence held by Dorset Council. Membership is open to any young person from the age of 14 to 25 years old. It is led entirely by volunteers and fund raises in order to fulfil operating needs and to enable unrestricted access to the programme regardless of income.

TO ADVANCE IN LIFE AND HELP YOUNG PEOPLE AGED 14-24, IN NORTH DORSET AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS, BY PROVIDING THEM WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN AND ACHIEVE THE DUKE OF EDINBURGH’S AWARD, IN ORDER TO DEVELOP THEIR SKILLS, CAPACITIES AND CAPABILITIES TO ENABLE THEM TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCIETY AS MATURE AND RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS.
