Charitable objects
to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Saltdean and the surrounding area (hereinafter called ?the area of benefit?), without distinction of sex, race, or of political, religious or other opinions, by associating with said inhabitants and local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education, health and local heritage and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation, with the object of improving conditions of life for the said inhabitants. To relieve poverty, through facilitation of donations of food and other supplies to food banks in the area of benefit; to establish or secure the establishment of a Community Centre (hereinafter called ?the Centre?) and to maintain and manage, or to co-operate with any local statutory authority in the maintenance and management of, such a Centre for the activities promoted by the Association and its constituency bodies in furtherance of the above objects.
