Charitable objects
THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE ART AND SCIENCE OF MEDICINE IN ALL ITS BRANCHES. IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY: (1) PROVIDING AND ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF HEALTH RELATED EDUCATION FOR THE PUBLIC AND HEALTH CARE STAFF. (2) BRINGING TOGETHER IN CONFERENCE ON HEALTH RELATED MATTERS REPRESENTATIVES OF VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS, GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENTS, STATUTORY AUTHORITIES, INDIVIDUALS AND MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC. (3) CAUSING TO BE WRITTEN AND PRINTED OR OTHERWISE REPRODUCED AND CIRCULATED, INCLUDING ELECTRONICALLY, PAPERS, BOOKS, PERIODICALS, PAMPHLETS OR OTHER DOCUMENTS OR FILMS OR RECORDED AUDIO AND/OR VISUAL MATERIAL RELATED TO THE ACTIVITIES OF THE CIO. (4) COLLECTING AND DISSEMINATING INFORMATION ON ALL MATTERS AFFECTING SUCH OBJECTS AND EXCHANGING SUCH INFORMATION WITH OTHER BODIES HAVING SIMILAR OBJECTS; (5) PROVIDING GRANTS TO ANY OTHER CHARITY IN THE BRISTOL AREA WHICH ADVANCES MEDICINE BY PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL EVENTS.
