Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE:
THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS RELIEVE THE NEED OF PEOPLE WITH DEMENTIA AND THEIR CARERS AND FAMILY IN THE KEYNSHAM AND SALTFORD AREAS BY:-
(A) BUILDING AWARENESS OF THE NATURE AND CHALLENGE OF DEMENTIA;
(B) EDUCATING LOCAL BUSINESS AND ORGANISATIONS ON PROVIDING DEMENTIA FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENTS;
(C) RUNNING EVENTS TO SUPPORT THOSE LIVING WITH DEMENTIA AND THEIR CARERS;
(D) INFLUENCING THE LOCAL COMMUNITY ON ISSUES THAT COULD IMPROVE THE LIVES OF THOSE WITH DEMENTIA AND THEIR CARERS;
(E)SEEKING ASSOCIATION WITH BUSINESS AND ORGANISATIONS IN THE AREA;
(F)CONSULTING THOSE AFFECTED BY DEMENTIA AND THEIR CARERS TO PROVIDE GUIDED SUPPORT;
(G)PROVIDING A POINT OF REFERENCE FOR THOSE AFFECTED BY DEMENTIA OR THOSE WISHING TO MAKE THE COMMUNITY A BETTER PLACE FOR THOSE AFFECTED.
NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE
