Activities - how the charity spends its money
The charity owns and maintains Arthur Ransome's yacht Nancy Blackett, "Goblin" in his book We Didn't Mean To Go To Sea. The yacht is sailed by members of the Trust, displayed at maritime events and used as base for sessions introducing young people to sailing old boats and the works of Ransome. Membership open to all. Small grants to young sailors for relevant activities.

THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE I)ADVANCE OF EDUCATION AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE PUBLIC IN THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN AND NORTHERN ISLAND AND ELSEWHERE IN THE WORKS OF ARTHUR RANSOME; AND II) ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC, PARTICULARLY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THEIR PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND SPIRITUAL CAPACITIES BY THE PROVISION OF RECREATIONAL FACILITIES, PARTICULARLY SAILING AND ALLIED FACILITIES SO THAT THEY MAY GROW TO FULL MATURITY AS INDIVIDUALS AND MEMBERS OF SOCIETY.
