THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TO: TO PROMOTE HEALTH AND TO RELIEVE THOSE SUFFERING FROM OR AFFECTED BY SKIN CANCER, IN PARTICULAR MALIGNANT MELANOMA, IN THE NORTH EAST OF ENGLAND IN PARTICULAR BY: (A) PROVIDING ADVICE AND GUIDANCE TO THOSE AFFECTED BY MALIGNANT MELANOMA AND UNBIASED AND ACCURATE INFORMATION ABOUT THE DISEASE TO THE WIDER PUBLIC; (B) RAISING AWARENESS OF MALIGNANT MELANOMA AND ITS CAUSES AND SYMPTOMS (C) PROVIDING COUNSELLING, SUPPORT AND THERAPIES SUCH AS PODIATRY AND BEAUTY TREATMENTS FOR PEOPLE AFFECTED BY MELANOMA AND SKIN CANCER
